Description
This Russian Izhevsk SKS-45 dated 1954r is a highly collectible 7.62x39 surplus classic with the desirable arrow-in-triangle-inside-circle arsenal marking, matching-number presentation, attached folding blade bayonet, and a beautifully finished wood stock. The photos show deep blued metal, a polished bolt carrier, original-style fixed magazine, cleaning rod, hooded front sight, and tangent rear sight.
The visible markings include 1954r, Made in Russia, C.D.I. Swan, VT import marking, and serial markings including 02273C on multiple visible components. The stock has a rich amber/brown finish with attractive grain and light handling marks, while the metal appears clean overall with normal signs of age and handling. Full matching status should be verified during intake across receiver cover, receiver, bolt/carrier, magazine, trigger group, and stock.
This is an excellent fit for collectors looking for a Soviet-era SKS with rare Izhevsk provenance, original military styling, and strong display appeal. Izhevsk SKS carbines are considered less common than Tula examples due to the shorter production run, and the 1954r date with the correct arsenal mark gives this piece added search and collector value.
