Description
This Walther Model 4 is a classic early 20th-century German service pistol chambered in 7.65mm / .32 ACP. Designed during WWI and produced into the 1920s, the Model 4 was widely issued to military officers and police units throughout Europe. Its simple blowback design, slim grip profile, and robust construction made it one of Walther’s most successful early automatic pistols.
This example, serial 81407, shows original blue finish with expected wear from age and service. The factory checkered grips with the intertwined “CW” (Carl Walther) monogram remain intact, displaying honest patina consistent with surplus pistols of the era. The pistol is missing its magazine, as noted on the tag.
Mechanically complete and representative of early Walther history, this Model 4 is a solid choice for collectors of WWI/Interwar European pistols or anyone looking to restore an authentic German sidearm.
